My series of Whale and Dolphin pieces were designed using the image of bubbling ocean surface created by dyed but otherwise natural platinum oco agate (the crystals on the surface natural platinum) as the base, with the whale carved from Whitby Jet, with white inlays of carved warthog tusk. The orca is backed with a slice of golden pearl shell. On the reverse, the bale is designed in the shape of a whale’s tail.
