As with many of my works the design was inspired by the “picture” that I see within the stone I am looking to work with. In this case the fine golden crystals of Rutile within the rectangular Rutilated Quartz piece reminded me of dragonflies in flight. The design is one of many of my works inspired by Art Nouveau design, and features a setting in 18K gold and silver with ribbons, and bows surrounding the stone and providing the base for a series of gold dragonflies.
